The man on the curb, in addition to being an important part of the story, gives the whole scene much needed balance -- resolution even. My two cents. I do like it. A little bit of humor but a little bit of tension too. The tree and the parking meter seem to form a subtext of their own.

1/60 seems slow for street. But maybe I move too fast.
