Exceptional shot, Richard. I see I gave you a 9 but left no comment. At the time I wouldn't have realized it was a straight shot, being in a challenge full of manipulation.
It's interesting to read your notes about altitude and colour. I live at 1525 feet above sea level and the moon is usually fairly silver. Occasionally though it rises very yellow - it must depend on whatever is going on in the atmosphere.

Three is a bit too much greenery for me... to focus on the mountain and that sky... It does frame it beautifully, but ... perhaps a crop?

Looks very similar to the Grackle. The bill is distinctly that of a Blackbird. I really like the shiny metallic reflection.
