The First of Many Clichesby TrickyBuddhaComment by jmsetzler: I don't find this shot to be 'cliche'... I really wish that term would abandon this site. it's getting old already. This shot is a good interpretation of the transition. The first step being out of focus is a little distracting to the shot. A little more depth of field would have also brought the door at the top of the stairs into sharper focus. The angle of the camera in this shot doesn't accent the stairs as much as I would like to see... otherwise, nice shot! |

The First of Many Clichesby TrickyBuddhaComment by insipidangel: I'm just thinking about how it would be awkward to have a door at the top of the stairs, especially one that opens twords you as your walking up. Knowing my clumsiness, I'd knock myself straight down the stairs trying to open the damn thing. |

One-Way Ticketby TrickyBuddhaComment by drewmedia: I think you're midway between two effects -- an image with a wide range of grey tones and a silhouette shot of the bus and the sign. Playing with the exposure to push it one way or the other might have yielded a picture with a higher impact. |
