Butterflyby LoreneComment by aliqui: It took me a few extra seconds to actually see the little guy... even though it's in perfect focus and there almost seems to be a beam of light shining right on him.
To me this looks like what I would call a proof shot. By that I mean it's a quick shot of something cool that you took as proof that you saw it, and then you snuck up closer only to have it fly away before you could get your real shot.
It's a decent shot. You just needed to be closer for the great shot. |

Butterflyby LoreneComment by weegi70: you could benifit by moving a little closer, or putting the insect on a rule of thirds, but i know how difficult that is... good job though, i rated this above 7 but below 10... :P |

Butterflyby LoreneComment by KarenNfld: Good clarity on the butterfly and grass although I think the large OOF rock in front will hurt this photo. Was it possible to get closer? |

Day 14: Kitty the Hutby LoreneComment by msizer: What I find absolutely fantastic about his nickname is not just his shape, but even the look of discomfort in his facial expression resembles Jabba! That's so funny! I feel like I'm supposed to say to him "Kitty, I've come to bargain for the release of my friends".
On a more serious note - I like the deep texture in the fur. The furrows and crevasses in his fur make it appear as if he has tiger stripes. It also seems as though your whole hand would disappear if you poked his belly. |

Pinwheelsby LoreneComment by citymars: Simple but effective. The sky is beautifully exposed. I like the "diagonal" composition, and the multi-colors are really eye-catching. |
