	Observant by Lorene Comment by glad2badad: Bummer about only getting 1 comment on this. Guess that happens too frequently with the larger Free Study challenges. Personally I gave this a 6 during the challenge. Revisiting this now I wonder why I didn't give it a 7? Hmmm...could be that the bar is raised somewhat for FS challenges? Not enough time to get thru 450+ images? Not sure... Anyway - I am enjoying this photo once again. Having some time to spend with it I'm finding it not only well shot, but engaging as well. The expression; I wonder what she's thinking? She's not really smiling, not afraid or overwhelmed...inquisitive perhaps? Oh, wait - you said "Observant" with your title. That's actually right on the mark. :-) As for the focus, lighting, and technicals, it's all good. The DOF and focal point are right on the mark; her eye's are sharp which is key, additionally her nose and going over to her hand - sharp as well. The arm and hand lend themselves well to the comp with the direction of her gaze and the proper amount of room to the right for the viewer to engage. I like it. Well done!
