Waterby xianartComment by Melethia: Your big sky and odd ground cover just got far more lush. The single most powerful substance on our planet and we all to often take it for granted, that water stuff. I like how your overlays add to the telling of the story. |

Zoomby xianartComment by Melethia: There are certain occasions when saying "Fuck!" loudly over and over really does seem to be an excellent course of action. Though I'm not deathly afraid of snakes (I kinda like 'em) so I'd probably have only said it once 'til I figured out if it was a friend or a foe. Your big sky here is somewhat reminiscent of the American west, though the ground cover is not - it seems strikingly different somehow. |

Lunchby xianartComment by Melethia: I've always wondered what happened to Ruth myself. What an intriguing period of your life this must have been! |

Poxby xianartComment by citymars: I knew this would be a posthumous award winner the minute I saw it! Poor kid -- I hope your "sprog" feels better soon.

Poxby xianartComment by Bruce_the_Robert: Christian, my daughter is just finishing up with "the Pox", but what you've done here is fantastic. You have captured so much more than just an image in time, a record of a rite of passage as a human being, you have actually captured the feel of the disease itself. Drab, peeking out from the depths of our world, of our history, our evolution, for a week of our lives, then moving on to someone else (to many someone elses), always drab, always gray (or grey, if you prefer), always with the feel you've captured here. Wonderful. Hope the sprog is fully recovered by now. |

Poxby xianartComment by karmat: Not an early memory for me (I was twenty-one) but seeing this makes me remember. . . .ugh.
Now, I'm itching. |

Poxby xianartComment by krnodil: Hopefully that bath gave him some relief from the itching. Haunting image, and perfect for this challenge. |

Poxby xianartComment by posthumous: I am generally *not* a fan of pictures of disease or death, but this photo has such an elegance to it. You really did make it beautiful, which is why it disturbed me. |
