I am thrilled that you are going out of the box, timfy! Unfortunately, I only gave you a 6, because I didn't like the offcenter composition with black background, created a big dead space imho. But otherwise this is a terrific exciting shot!

Wow, Tim, this is a superb portrait accomplished through expert editing skills. This really has many qualities of a good oil painting - luminosity in the skin tones, perfect detail even in the highlights, great contrast and detail. Have you considered entering this in the Color Portrait challenge? I think it'd do well. Ok, I just realized the dates are wrong and you can't. Too bad. Great job. How'd you do the bg?
