Floating On Airby twmaxComment by twmax: Originally posted by Melethia: There's a velodrome here in San Pedro and a riding friend of mine is hooked. She loves it! Says it's an absolute thrill to start going up that wall. I do like the high contrast of this - great shot! Is this an outdoor velodrome? Looks that way. |
Yes, this velodrome is outdoors. |

Velodromeby twmaxComment by twmax: Originally posted by Melethia: Nice!! I'm always amazed that these bikes have no gears and no brakes. I have no idea how you stop... |
Deb, since there is no freewheel, the pedals never stop turning while the bike is moving. To stop/slow, you apply backwards pressure on the pedals. |

Yes, it's a Masi. It's really not a track bike, but a fixie he converted. I see a new frame in his future. |

Pottery_2011_wk 3by twmaxComment by ursula: The colours are nice. To me, the picture looks a bit "cut-off" throughout (all the objects are cut off), and the light is a bit harsh (flash?), but the colours are beautiful. Have you thought going a lot closer to these pots? |

Pottery_2011_wk 3by twmaxComment by rachelellen: Love the colors. I like the composition except that I think maybe I would have liked to see the entirety of one of the bowls, with the other only in part. I can't decide. Each time I look at the picture, my opinion changes. It's lovely, though, either way. |
