I am surprised by your score... I think this deserves to be well above 6.... I gave it a 9 myself. Never would have thought it was a lampstand... thought it was a macro of a screw or a nail.

aruably not liney enough (I think it is), possibly washed out (on the face of it I think it is but the more I look at it the more I like it), somewhat abstract (zorks lines calls for that I like others may not).... and as an aside you could have put this into the pasta challange and got away with it !!!

I think its one of those pictures folks either like or dont which is why overall it bombmed a little (though for me 5.9 would be an acheivement) but for the commentators avg it score rather highly.

Overall I like it.

Simple, crisp, and works well with the black background to isolate the subject. I like seeing a piece of the whole - good eye to see and capture this.

Wow. From that vantage point it looks much higher than it is I think. After reading your comments and seeing the near foreground area it makes more sense perspectively. Nice low light shot BTW from a ferris wheel!
