Mom's Chinaby KimInNBComment by KimInNB: Yep - it's Mom's China!!
My parents purchased it on their first anniversary, so I guess it would about 45 1/2 years old. I haven't purchased my own china simply because I can't find anything I like as much as this - and it will be mine someday.
The pattern is, quite suitingly, Anniversary Rose, made in Staffordshire, England.
They bought the whole shootin' match - china, glassware, and silver. The table is abundant in roses when there's a nice dinner planned. |

It's just sadby KimInNBComment by wingy: You can slant your camera but its still just a shot of a tv screen. You haven't done anything significant enough to make this your own unique work or to make it an impressive or effective photograph. Best of luck. 2 |

Bridge Closedby KimInNBComment by Gracious: Greetings from the Critique Club!
This is filled with charm. It's a bit like peeking into the past when viewing one of these relics.
I see, by reading the comments, that some people are bothered by the foreground being in the way. I don't quite feel the same way. Because there is some over-growth of vegetation the picture is more realistic. Though they may be distracting a bit, they contribute to the theme of the bridge no longer being in service.
Exposure and focus are both good, with dof very good, and no over or under exposed spots. The tone, and colours are fine as well.
I'd like to have a little more water in the picture. There is a touch over on the left, but I think a tad more in view would give a better sense of place.
All in all I think you did a good job and I like this.
Regards,
Grayce |
