flawed? There is something intruiging about this image I think its the way the machine kind of towers over the lady and the writing on the bin. I also like that you havent blured out the background because the two people on the sidewalk add to the image.

To be honest, this is a shot I personally would rate a 5 in a challenge and move on, probably not commeting on as I neither find it bad nor good. I do like the tonality in the shot but something about the "misty" look of it doesn´t agree with me. Also I can´t figure out the settings here, why f8 and iso800? If I had taken this I would have used iso 100 and f2.8 to blur out the backround some more, I find it a little bit distracting although not really damaging the photo though, I just would have liked it better that way :)

The moment is good though and I don´t really need a face to connect to what the woman is doing.

I like this shot, I think it´s well composed. I would however had just a tiny bit less space on the left and the top to include the bottom of the hand and the left arm, kindof bugs me that you cut them out of the frame but definately I think it´s the space around the kid that makes this image work. Nice lighting and DOF.
