Alien landingby justamistereComment by justamistere: Thanks for not putting this in last place.
I think if I spent more time it has potential. I'll be back!
Like the irridescent -foil covered tubes/funnel-top needed more light.
This was taken upside down in a black box puppet theatre style. I slowly rotated a flashing, wierd ball, that's shaped like an atom nucleous.
And I created a 30-second .mp3 file in which I recorded my own voice counting-down. I played that on my iPod used as the audio-prompter for my timing. |

...Just A Myster-yby justamistereComment by eschelar: Man, this is fantastic!
I love this composition and the execution is... well, fantastic!
Ok, so it's noisy as anything and it looks like it's been cropped like a crazy white-tailed bass, but that's hardly your fault...
As might be guessed, I do have a bit of a soft spot for Escher.. ;)
For the challenge, I think you might have been treading on thin ice with that chandelier... technically a light stand with multiple lights is still multiple lights... Same would go for a chandelier I would think... |

This is a job for... Indestructable-Mylar-Baloonby justamistereComment by eschelar: Ok, I dig how you exposed the room, even with the blown window... works for this shot...
I have some problems with the balloon though...
Low saturation is one thing... for good juxtaposing, I would have pushed the blue up a fair bit...
I'm having troubles with the graininess of it though as well as the fact that it looks a bit soft... with 0.3s shutter time and your comment on 'wind', I'm going to hazard a guess that it's movement rather than focus...
The biggest issue I have is the composition... I just plain don't care much for the way that Supe' is lined up... I might have liked him better on the left where he has more contextual interaction with the iron spikes coming down from the ceiling and balances the pic out against that bright hotspot in the window...
Definitely not a bad pic though! |
