The Road Less Traveledby BakerBugComment by LalliSig: When seeing images like this I always think they would be stronger with a subject walking down the path or towards the camera and this is one of those images but not bad at all, like the lighting and soft shadows on the pathway. |

Kelly-Chaela-Rose.jpgby BakerBugComment by rex: Well family shots are so hard to critique cause the technicals really don't matter. After reading you comments it makes it even harder just becasue I know this guy just wants photos. He could care less about the background. For suggestions I might would make a tighter crop on just the faces to really capture that natural expression of happiness you have there. Very nice image either way. |

Piper!by BakerBugComment by rex: Very nice portrait. I think a tigher crop might work . Maybe just cropping out the post on the right of the image. You have nice tones in the B/W and nice sharpness. Also a very nice bokeh effect with the background to eliminate distraction. Message edited by author 2006-12-28 22:19:51. |

Piper!by BakerBugComment by zheka: Very nice portrait. Getting in closer might improve it. The reflections in the eyes make them unclear. I found this to be a problem with my cat portrait as well. |

Piper!by BakerBugComment by macrothing: 6 - Nice composition and relaxed capture of Piper. Something odd going on in some of the darker areas, almost looks like gamma/contrast/something issues, likely as a result of the toning/pp. The eyes don't seem 'clear' - again could be the pp has accentuated that. Mostly though, Piper's right eye has a white mark over the bottom of it, so trying to fix that in this Advanced Editing Challenge would have helped you. |
