How did the snail get out on that plant? I see them on the sidewalks and on the ground all the time, but that's an awfully small leaf he's treading. There are a few little overexposed spots on the shell.

Excellent shot! I really like the deep rich color; shallow DOF and receding focus works very well. One minor suggestion would be to work to eliminate the glare off the shell. --9

I really enjoy this image. It fits the challenge and is nicly composed. My reservation with this image is that it seems as though it should be a smooth sharp image and the woodgrain in the pencils, takes this edge of the pencils.IS is very nice to see this much detail however the composition (the negative space) suggests that this image should be very very clean. Perhaps this is the "somthing" that dosen't sit right with some of the voters. Nonetheless, Keep up the good work.
