Son's Toy and Father's Dreamby Harz_JoergComment by legalsteven: Like you, I am not keen on the Audi TT. I prefer Toyota Landcruisers! But your shot is excellent. If it was a dry run for your fantasy of hiring a big studio and shooting a car for real, then go for it. Beautiful lighting, good angle and the car shines in all the right places. I am sure in the big studio you'll watch out for that bit of unwanted something reflected in the car, here seen especially under the headlamp and towards the wheel arch. |

The inner Canyons are the deepestby Harz_JoergComment by amsmyth: As I commented during the challenge, this is quite powerful. I am still not sure about the rope but that is a minor issue. The light flare on the window behind works symbolically for me (hope? another choice?) and the cellar is very effectively captured. |

LIFEby Harz_JoergComment by amsmyth: This also was a very original and nicely captured response to the Challenge. No critical comments here. |

IMG_7097b.jpgby Harz_JoergComment by amsmyth: I really like this concept - the framing, and the sense of motion with the branches reaching out away from the main trunk. I have two questions - is it just a tiny bit oversharpened? The texture is wonderful but in the foreground it seems a bit overdone and I wondered if that was an effect of sharpening for the branches thhat reach away.
Also, just technically, is there a way to keep more of the depth of tone in those reaching branches? The way they fade out almost to a weblike effect is very nice but I just wondered. |

A whole life aheadby Harz_JoergComment by Azrifel: Excellent composition & filling of the frame. The wide aperature / shallow dof lets one focus directly on the eye. Nice colors. The only thing I don't like is the dull border and the refllection in the eye is rather busy. 8 |

A whole life aheadby Harz_JoergComment by xhoss: the image is beautiful ( color, dof, composition, feel), but somehow its disconcerting (sp?) that I can't see the other eye. Just a thought. Nice work. 7 |
