Friendly Giants guide your Wayby Harz_JoergComment by moodville: This has a great atmosphere and mood to it. I'm tempted to feel that the light is a little too extreme/harsh to be ambient and so it doesnt feel as soft as I would have liked, but I like the gradient of dark to light. Composition is good, the trees seem nicely sharp, and the shadows falling across the path is a nice touch too. Very nicely shot. |

A whole life aheadby Harz_JoergComment by Konador: Critique Club:
I thought this was a great photo, one of my 10s. There isnt really much negative I can say in this CC. The DoF in my opinion is perfect. The skin tones, lighting, focus, all perfect. I think one thing I may have tried differently is to have made the catchlight in the eyes smaller. You oculd have done this by either using a different light source, or in postprocessing. At the moment the window in the eye looks a little too big and it overpowers the pupil. There are also a few stray eyebrow hairs going down towards the eye. Now, this are extremely minor things, and if the rest of the photo wasn't so perfect, then I wouldnt be mentioning them, but you've done 15 CC comments in the past week so I think you deserve a constructive one yourself :)
Well, I can't think of anything else to say, except congratulations on a fine photograph. |

A whole life aheadby Harz_JoergComment by ursula: This was one of my two favourites this challenge. I love the clarity, and the fact that you didn't make the skin look plastic, as it's so common now. I love the reflected window. And no makeup, love it. |
