There is a great feeling of texture from the stipes of the zebra that creates a real interest in the photo.I like the positioning of both of the zebras eyes in the photo their positioning really makes for an interesting composition. I like the detail in the single hairs that you can also see not only on the mane of the zebra, but also on the chin. Your choice of DOF keeps the interest where the it should be instead of searching for more in the background.

The sunburst in the shot is quite dramatic on its own, but the remainder of the image lacks detail and interest. That is not to say that this is a bad shot at all, but beyond the flare, the viewer is left with a black void base extending to the tree tops, a flat, blue sky and nothing in between. Compared to your entry, which has depth, color, texture and movement and allows the discovery with movement of the eye, this one is a bit sparse and directs the viewer to a singularity in the image that, while dramatic, is lacking in substance. It is a quality capture still, but your entry was more engaging.

Sorry for the ramble. Nice shot.

Gave it a 7-- I like the subtle greens with the morning light. It doesn't have much in the way of foreground emphasis(which is OK) as I am drawn to the highlighted mountain. Looks like some interesting birch trees along the RH side.
