monster shadowby ursulaComment by Neil: Nice effect. I think it would have been good to shoot from a higher perspective than here, so you have a bit more of the real fork. I showed this to someone and I had to point out that the shadow was actually a shadow. If the real fork wasn't shot from the edge only, there would also be a complementary symmetry. |

monster shadowby ursulaComment by kirbic: Holy Fork!... uh, I mean, what a monstrous shadow!
I like your choice of composition, think I would have gone cooler on the colors, but that's just my first impression. One of my favorites this challenge, a very original and well-executed idea. |

beginning and endby ursulaComment by Artifacts: This is a terrific image. The only fault is the halo around the leftmost end of the main subject. It is otherwise absolutely perfect. |

monster shadowby ursulaComment by cbeller: Nice idea, although the shadow just doesn't look natural. Was it completely Photoshoped?
Edit after challenge: No it wasn't PSed. Good job Ursula. I'm going to have to try this myself now. Message edited by author 2003-12-16 00:30:40. |

beginning and endby ursulaComment by Harz_Joerg: Compared to the other sunset images this one is very special: using macro, the non-spherical sunf the unsharp black forground and the color-variation are great. What disturbes is that only one branch is sharp and the right one not. Acctually one branch shoud have been enough. In that case it would have fit even better to the challenge topic. Still, I give it a 7. |

monster shadowby ursulaComment by TommyMoe21: Love this shot. I've seen it before with a key and once with a fork also. I tried it myself also, but it didn't have the same effect as yours. Great job here. Good luck. |

monster shadowby ursulaComment by GolferDDS: I did something similar to this called "Unbent Shadow" in the Shadows II challenge. I like your variation. Very clever. |
