Yes Maria, the streets are not for the faint of the heart. Only the young ones can go to and fro without even paying attention that they step on stars!
There is no eye contact on your streets unless you choose to be seen by a large representation on a wall of a weird family of birds.
I like a lot the newspaper feel of your photographs. they look as if someone detached them from old papers and saved them as future reference for a novel.

Wonderful essay Maria, my favourites are 2, 5 & 7. It is very clear and concise with an overall sense of solitude. It is as though you are a bird on a branch documenting the business of humankind. Your vision is your voice, not wanting to draw attention nor disturb the motions, all while being just as much part of the whole chorus below. I like this distant contemplation, it would be interesting to see you get up really close as well. Both views are just as good. Thank you.

The interplay of the shapes of stone and the shadows is most delightful, but the blur of orange on the right side deconstructs the image for me. Still an engaging submission for this challenge. Five from me.
