Lyons Road West, 1amby paddlesComment by Rikki: Since you asked for a comment in the threads, I will leave one for you. I have not looked at other people's comments so I will try to take a stab at this image.
The thing you have to remember about DPC voters is "our" attention span to an image. For an image to be successful, you have to make the voter pause a while and take in your image and see the beauty that lies within your photo. This image however doesn't hold my attention for too long. I see a blurry photo that is poorly composed. There is no definite subject and it seems as if this were taken in haste rather than planning for a shot and executing it well. This is your first challenge entry. take the lessons you learned here and apply them to your future images.
The key to a great image is technical prowess and the "WOW! factor".
Obviously, these are just my concerns that I pass on to you. Please take my comments and use them as you please. I didn't want to seem harsh or mean but I guess for all of us to learn, sometimes it just needs a bit of ugliness in it ;)
