I was not able to vote on this challenge, but if I had, I probably would have given you a 6 or 7.
Forget the comments you received, forget the score you got, this image is awesome. It reminds me of one of those dna prints you can get done, based on your own dna. I also looks a little futuristic.
*I just now noticed who took this photo.... why am I not surprised*
back to my critique... I am a sucker for simplicity, so this photo is really up my alley. There is enough overlapping, and variations in brightness to keep this very interesting.
Keep up the great work. Favorited!

It's me again!
I was not able to vote on this challenge, but if I had, I probably would have given you a 6. Then, after voting was over, I would have wished I had voted it higher.
I like this photograph because, although I can't define it, it has the qualities of a star. Perhaps it's a microscopic view of a star. Perhaps the ice droplets are representations of stars. It also reminds me of a large sunning giving off rays of light. It's very difficult for me to offer contructive criticism as you have focused on the qualities of a star, as opposed to an image of a star. There is nothing I can say that would improve this photograph. I will say that this type of image holds my interest a lot more than one one which is clearly defined. I think it's a great image, and I enjoy being challenged by your interpretations.
Great shot and keep up the good work.

Expert Editingby posthumousComment by ambaker: I'm not sure how this fits the challenge. Are you wanting a drawing, the person behind the drawing? Interesting image, but does not seem to fit the challenge. |

I wasn't able to vote on this challenge, but if I had, I probably would have given this image a 6.
My first impression is that this is a very interesting photo that almost appears to have been painted. It looks very much like an impressionist painting. There is an emotional quality that keeps my interest.
From the stand point of the theme, I can tell very clearly that a fill flash was used. The fill flash is subtle compared to some of the other photogrpahs, but that is no way reflective of the success of the photo. I'll assume the subtelty is why the image didn't score higher, but you and I both know that's not why you're here ;)
Keep up the good work. I enjoy your contributions to this website.
