tabula rasaby posthumousComment by Pixelstate: Hello from the Critique Club
There is a term that is used a lot on DPC and that is 'brave'
This falls into that category. You have come up with an interesting image that
fits the challenge nicely. The use of welders glass to create a dream like effect out of
camera is creative and shows elements of the thought process that will set your work apart.
A lot of viewers/voters will not spend more than a few seconds on each image in a challenge and
sometimes images that do not appear to be technically correct (sharp, correctly exposed etc)
can suffer in the voting process.
I think you have an interesting image and I agree with the comments added during and after the
challenge...
I look forward to seeing more or your creativity in challenges to come
Regards
chris

got gasby posthumousComment by Pixelstate: Hi from the Critique Club
This image placed disappointingly and I suspect mainly because of the blown out area at the top of the image that does not add to the composition IMO
The scene is interesting with the interplay of the characters and some voters have indicated this in their comments.
'Artistic' images can score low, as voters will pick up on technicalities such as perfect exposure and sharpness rather than deeper meaning or message.
I look forward to seeing more of your photography

Hipby posthumousComment by tvsometime: Unexpected associations and rhythms of the street fit well into the Winogrand opus. I chuckled at this even if I can't say why. |
