sunsetby posthumousComment by streetpigeon: Gorgeous dark image with a semi-colon of brilliance. The colors are nicely modulated. The sky looks like marble and there is actually detail in the foreground darkness. The trees look good on the horizon. My only quibble is that the yellow squiggle above the sun, probably unavoidable, is distracting. |

the gameby posthumousComment by vlado: Commenting as part of my commitment to Team Suck:
I quite like this image.... I like the story it is trying to tell. I like the processing. I can see it as a work of art that could grace the wall of the boy or his family, however, it wasn't something that I could see hanging in a gallery of on an album. I didn't impact, or connect with ME as much as many of the other photo... a wonderful image, nonetheless. |

the gameby posthumousComment by mariuca: Sometimes words can feel clumsy and some experiences are hard to verbalize the sense of delight and ambiguousness in the existence unless one is Proust and takes a single moment in its infinite readings.
This snapshot encapsulates so many moment of childhood. There is the endearing charm of an afternoon that seems never ending and a bit tedious, a heavy silence and a faint smell of freshly baked cookies, the game half way in, the radio without batteries, one of those moments that in the future will remind us of a paradise lost. |

the gameby posthumousComment by daisydavid: I know who you are and where you live ;) There is so much to love and enjoy about this image it is hard to know where to start. Even the subtle shaping of the baseball field model reflects the composition as a whole, the childhood aura that pervades is intensely nostalgic while in the immediacy of now. |
