I like the different portrayal of the number 10. The composition is good. Lighting looks good though maybe a smidge too harsh. Focus is okay, though I'm not sure if its so raw and harsh looking just because of the light or if some oversharpening or overcontrasting has been used. The different textures are nice and I like the earthy colors and how they interact with one another. I really enjoy the choice of counting to four to depict ten. I gave a 5

Possibly the picture would have worked better in a landscape format with some negative space in front of the canoe. Right now I feel like it's a bit squished on the left there.

Definitely don't rely on in camera adjustments for B&W or sepia. If you have PS you can do so much better on your own. Just check out a few tutorials. I think I would have preferred B&W instead of sepia anyway. Just a hunch. Either way, the contrast on the piling could be done much better to really make it stand out in it's unmovability.

I actually think it's an excellent picture. You could have called it 'the flower's point of view' (please don't say perspective) as in: 'Hey, we're not just here to fucking decorate' etc...

IMO a very subtle and powerful composition. The frame is filled very nicely, there is good dynamics in the shot. The descending diagonal underlines the tragic state of the canoe. A very subtle sense of balance, too, with the heavy concrete structure in the upper right corner, balanced by a streaming mass of water in the lower left. Duotone works perfectly for this image. Nice texture on the bridge support, too.

I didn't vote in this challenge, otherwise this would have got a 9 or a 10 from me. This was a sure DPC flop (as it requires from the voter to rate the composition, not the subject, something of which most DPC-ers are incapable), though, but I hope that's not what matters to you a lot.
