Art Schoolby posthumousComment by RKT: I think what I enjoy most about this image, among many things, is how the artist closely mimics the subject in pose...very nice. |

Art Schoolby posthumousComment by alexjack: I'd really like to like this more, but it just doesn't work for me. the large rectangular areas above are just too dominating, the lines not strong enough except the too strong line dividing the middle

Windowby posthumousComment by Melethia: Cheating. Cats, reflections and windows. SO not fair. AND a window that has warped reflections, and apparently a screen to further texturize the world beyond but brought back. I'm really rather fond of this - would have voted it highly in a free study (kiss of death, but not quite as good as yours - I've not the poetic quality to accompany mine). And I am indeed both flattered and quite honored! Oh, and forgot - without the poetic acoutrements, I'll just say that this speaks to me of protected longing, a yearning to belong to that other world, but a bit calmly assured by the protection within just the same. Windowby posthumousComment by krnodil: The reflection of the building facade in the window has that distorted look like a home movie being played on a projector screen. Well-seen extra content in an ordinary subject. I think you're right - egads, has posthumous been reincarnated as the spawn of bucket and Melethia? |

Neptune's Childby posthumousComment by pcody: dear father, I beseech you. I love how the boy is in a prayerfull submitting pose, as if ready to give his life up if the statue commands it. But the statue just gazes down on him in stoney silence. But who can say if the child hears something or not. Children have powers that are given up as they progress to adulthood. |
