Momentary Advantageby posthumousComment by colorcarnival: I gave it a 6 because I liked the moment you captured and the beautiful contrast in colors. I think I did not give it a higher score because my taste leans towards wanting to see subjects in focus. The leaves were the first ting to capture my attention and I would have liked to have seen them be a little sharper or clearer to make them stand apart from the ice. |

Shore Upby posthumousComment by levyj413: Wow. What a story. Or stories. Standing on the beach in stormy weather is an awesome experience (in the literal sense of "creates awe"), and you managed to combine that with the emotional oomph of time spent with a parent (or grandparent). I find the contrast in the first two comments amusing. |

Bathosby posthumousComment by MaryO: The tears look like Play-Doh. Interesting idea, but I think it would be stronger if both tears were more 3-dimensional and casting shadows on the face, so my first impression would be the overall sad face instead of Play-Doh. Oh, and I just noticed the nose. That's not really working for me, either. Sorry. |

Bathosby posthumousComment by levyj413: Don? Tears of a Clown seems like something posthumous would do. Nice shot, if a bit hot on the right side. |

Shore Upby posthumousComment by jaysonmc: Good DoF control to give this a nice feeling. I like the exposure you choose. It is a near perfect image, there is something I think it needs, but I am not sure exactly. Still striking shot. |

Shore Upby posthumousComment by figaro: This one's a stunner. The vastness of the composition highlights the vulnerability and fragility of the child in an extraordinary way. |
