This would have been a pretty perfect story. Very graphic in my opinion if this was BW. The tape, if in focus and the couple by the stream in focus, then a softening , Gaussian blur around them, with more contrast and possible neutral and blacks in selective colour. Would have made this a terrible story of loss and grief. One that resonates to anyone and everyone as it's leading lines are the tape to the couple. This, to me, ((and only to me, is how I see and interpret this shot))) would have made this a story of humanitarian photography that everyone can relate to.

I'd prefer a slighter tighter crop, but that's just me. I love the colors and your processing is a nice accessory. Beautiful.
