Great shot...I love the idea...there's plenty of light to show all the detail, yet it makes me think of darkness...

Bumping this one up - this is a great graphic for the most simplre representation of darkness - the removal of light. although i would have liked to see amore aesthetic candle.

241 out of 299 is not really something to be proud of. It was only my second submission ever. But now the "bug has bitten" - my wife is as excited about dpchallenge as I am. We worked together on the submission for "darkness". I was aiming to break at least the 5 barrier with this one, but as the voting continues it seems as if it is going even better. Now to get that unique, creative metal shot...

I think this is beautiful. The only tiiiiny things I don't like about it, is the seemingly small bit off blown out white near the wick of the candle and the border.. not sure why but the image continuing on past the border just makes me wonder why the border is there at all and my eyes are consistently drawn down there. Heh. But those are minor things, I gave an 8.
