Macro of Unknown Origin...by 777STANComment by 777STAN: Thanks, Ecce! I take it as a high compliment that you gave me good marks on my border. Actually, I backed into that one because of late I have been practicing the border by highlighting and area of faocus with the rectangle marquee, then selecting inverse, copying to a new layer, and then playing with saturation, contrast/brightness to get to the intended black border. (I know that there are easier ways to get a black border, but I often like to do things the hard way for the sheer love of learning, often by mistake like this border.)
Also, I am very grateful that my editing has improved to the level that nobody caught what I did to the "blown-out" spots. To the upper left-hand side of the inner circle there is a black sliver of a "moon" above which is gray blurry section. In the original, it was really white! So, I messed around with texturizing techniques, Blur/Smudge Tool at various opacities, plus contrast/brightness, and even chrome filter (but that didn't work, so I backed out and went with plastic wrap filter, of all things...)
It's called thinking "outside of the box," or in my case "thinking outside of the atmosphere!" :} |

Macro of Unknown Origin...by 777STANComment by Ecce_Signum: Nice image Stan :) Guess I think its some kind of hub (going with the crowd lol) so is it a macro or a closeup? I keep getting drawn to whatever is is going on under the top left circles? I've mentioned in previous comments I'm not a fancy border person but to be honest I only just noticed yours so guess it works really well :) |

Your-Chariot-Awaits---Take-Your-Pick!by 777STANComment by trevytrev: Cool shot, I love the muted color tone on the two cars. I love old car shots and I also like the perspective you shot this with. I can see where you played with the sky a bit with PS as there are spots that don't blend as nicely as the others. I might just crop all the way down to just over the roof of the cars and eliminate the sky all together. I feel this would draw even more focus towards the cars, just a thought. |

JOY!by 777STANComment by JuliBoc: The border is interesting but distracting. My eyes spent more time on the border than on the portrait. |
