Steam Train 1by NigelComment by Gunnsi: I was wondering if you maybe were trying to have the sky blown out like it is. I think in that case you should maybe aught to make the back of the train whiter as well. That way it would be more of an effect and the viewer would see what you were trying. It sure would add mistery to the picture like it was coming out of the fog.

Steam Train 1by NigelComment by Gunnsi: I have very often the same problem here in Iceland. The sky is full of clouds and with "normal" or automatic photography it always gets blown up! What I usually do is to take darker pictures and light them up afterwards. In that way I do not loose the details of the clouds. See f.x. my Fool on the hill photo. |

Tower Bridgeby NigelComment by PHOTOKID: This is an interesting composition of the Tower of London bridge, most photos you see of it are from the side and really do not give you a aspect of hieght to the photo. I think you accomplish this well with the people. i also like how you captured the movement of the vechiles without overexposing the the lights on the bridge.

Grand Canyon Rainbowby NigelComment by PHOTOKID: I love this shot its really lovely. The colors in the canyon are usually very difficult to get to show up in great contrast. I also like the way the rainbow seems to come out of the canyon. It give the perfect touches to an overall decent composition.
Great work.

Steam Train 1by NigelComment by irishempress: wonderful composition! i would love to see this in color!
i agree with the above poster...the sky does look washed out...perhaps it was a hazy day? maybe use a polarizer next time. |

Steam Train 1by NigelComment by lkn4truth: The sky looks a little too washed out and this even carries over into the top of the train and the windows as well as the bright spots on the sides of the cars. I love the smoke. |
