Antar Singhby bnileshComment by SoulJance: Nice shot. I have heard of that trick where you give them a prop and they relax and act natural. It is good to see that it works. I like how it is used as a leading line. Maybe you should have used something like f11 to get the hand in focus as well then in photoshop blur the background to what it is now. I would have shot from slightly higher up to the stick covers up the top of the line of rocks in the back ground. |

Antar Singhby bnileshComment by Lutchenko: very nice natural portrait with good definition in the face. Something about the subject moving out of the frame seems wrong at first look but after a while it seems to work well for me. |

Serenityby bnileshComment by Ivory: I love the way that her face is framed by the material, it has such a lovely flow and the colour is also very complimentary. Her eyes being closed also adds to the soft dreamy look of the image. |

Painterby bnileshComment by ErikV: You are certainly one of the masters on DPC with respect to finding all sorts of interesting people. Subject is very nicely lit here.
With respect to the desaturation suggestion, I would keep the main subject normally saturated as well (along with the brush and the painted fence) but desaturate the rest -- this will de-emphasize the person in the background. |

Painterby bnileshComment by bnilesh: Originally posted by LMA128: haha. great shot! i know that it is sometimes cliche but did you try a selective de-saturation on this (just keep the paint on the fence, brush, and splatters in color??)...i dont know it might look cool haha |
Thanks for nice comment & honest suggestion. I think Selective desaturation as suggested by you will take away focus from the subject which is painter in this case. |
