Not so deliciousby veganmegan23Comment by Artifacts: Good sharpness with the tomatoes and the attempt at desaturation for further highlighting is a good idea. It nicely separates it from your background bokeh.
Unfortunately the remaining reds in the other areas of the image are highly distracting and the bokeh support for your main subject is weak. Composition could be improved by off setting the main subject more and cropping it closer. |

A lovely day gone astrayby veganmegan23Comment by mpeters: In the context of the rain challenge, the picture needs to shout "rain" a little more clearly. This could be acheived by change your light source direction to side light or back light the drops. Or, to show that rain is falling or has fallen, then just move in a little closer and isolate on an interesting detail. See the blue in this challenge for example and Scalverts shot is a good example of using light direction to really show off the drops.
Also, a busy BG like you have in this pic overwhelms the rest of the picture.
Keep shooting and dont worry about the score. |
