I liked this shot a lot. The interaction between the two people is great, and the subject is interesting.
The blur caused by the man's hand movement is a little distracting. I like the lamp, and the glow that's cast from it, leading to the couple.
 Nice shot. |

| Ninja Lenscaps from Canonby blackenedwhiteComment by margiemu: hey there from ctp2:
I had to look at this for a few seconds to figure out what it was. The lighting and focus on the lenscap is good, but it's a bit bright on the lemon (if that's what it is), which makes it sort of hard to "see". I like the idea, though. Very clever. And the colors work well together.

| Ninja Lenscaps from Canonby blackenedwhiteComment by alexgarcia: Hello from Ãlex, CTP MkII
First Impression : Intelligent idea, very original for the challenge.
Composition : A bit strange, too centered and cropped too tight.
Subject : Good idea for the challenge.
Technical : Focus and use of the DOF is very good. Light on the lemon is too harsh, almost hurts the eyes.
Improvement : Take off the center the logo of Canon, not so strong light on the lemmon.
Summary : Good idea. Keep shooting.

| Ninja Lenscaps from Canonby blackenedwhiteComment by yanko: Greetings from CTP2 Dude that so looks like a lemon!
Technicals: Well the foreground was exposed well but that background has a lot to be desired but you know that already.
Subject/composition: To sell the idea that this lens cap is indeed a ninja it would have been better if you had some of the lemon/pear remains on the lenscap. Might have made this more gory but hey it's a ninja and it just sliced through that whole thing. :P Btw, I like how you composed this. Lots of balance and in your face action.
Suggestions for Improvement: Try and not make it a last minute thing? |

| park trystby blackenedwhiteComment by Rebecca: Greetings from Rebecca of your CTP2!
First, I will tell you that the color and tone is really nice. I liked that this was the rare shot with people in it.
However, I still think that the lamp is very distracting and would have cropped it out. Maybe even better would have been taking up a position more to the left, slightly in front of the couple and excluding the lamp.
It's a shame that there was so much motion in the shot, but I wonder if a shutter speed just one click faster might have helped a bit? I don't think that a slightly darker photo would have hurt the scene. But mostly I think it would have been better to use some models instead of attempting a night candid. They're near impossible.
A more expansive comment than the one I left during voting, eh? ;-) |
