A still life is a painting featuring an arrangement of inanimate, everyday objects, whether natural objects (flowers, food, wine, etc.) or manufactured items (books, bottles, crockery, etc.). The Tate Museum Glossary puts it very succinctly, defining the subject of a a still life as "anything that does not move or is dead".

Breaking chair is a good concept. Having a non-wood floor might allow the chair more visibility. Adjusting white balance to reduce the yellow color cast and faster shutter/sharper focus would be good, as would a different choice of clothes for the model (the narrow boot fur and the band of skirt color first made me wonder if the model might be tied to the chair).

Its a bit OOF, and im not a big fan of the color. Perhaps B&W with more contrast? Good idea for the challenge.

The subject is a little out of focus, and the white balance could use a tweaking.
Other than that, it looks a bit of a snapshot. It would be cool though if shot from below, and with higher shutter speed (increasing the ISO perhaps).
