Shadow of the London Eyeby taljComment by strangeghost: I like this much more than the wider shot, and agree that some post-processing is in order: bring out contrast on the shadow, more saturation on the trees and sky, and a little contrast boost to the sky as well. Potentially a killer shot with lots of interest. |

Sunset at the London Eyeby taljComment by wingyisleeds: Again, great shadow shot. With regards to the horizontal level, strange on, the bank looks level, the boat tilts to the left, and yet the building tilts to the right. Maybe if you cropped the water off just below the tree-line and the tilted to the left to straighten the building ...but what do I know, lol. |

Sunset at the London Eyeby taljComment by annasense: i like your composition on this... the thing that sort of distracts for me is how dark it is... the entire image seems a little flat, to me. what about an edit like this?
sort of takes the "sunset" part out, but i think it's a little more pleasing, color-wise... but this is just my opinion. i pulled the horizon down just a tad on the right side, too. |

Sunset at the London Eyeby taljComment by cpanaioti: I really like the lighting on this one. However, I feel there is a bit too much water showing in the forground. Cropping it just under the boat I think would work.
And yes, it does feel a bit tilted to the left (based on line just above boat) but the building seems tilted to the right.
What you may have to do is straighten so the water line doesn't seem tilted then do a perspective adjustment to correct the building. The image is probably suffering from a bit of barrel distortion. |

Sunset at the London Eyeby taljComment by strangeghost: Probably a bit too much open space around the subject(s) for my taste. The lighting on the eye and the building on the left is quite nice. A tighter comp would have helped. The building behind the eye, on the right of the photo, is also intriguing, but unfortunately, not enough detail is really accessible. I think either the building with the shadow, or the wheel, would have made a better subject, rather than trying to include both. |

My Best Friendby taljComment by strangeghost: People shots are special partially because of facial expressions and the appeal of the eye. If you don't include either of these features in a shot of a person's head, there has to be some visual compensation, IMO. Some sort of dramatic, dynamic element that makes for a compelling shot of a profile, or a head turned largely away, as you have here. In my view, this photo doesn't really have that additional element to compel the viewer to stay. The technicals aren't bad in this photo, there's just nothing that really speaks to me. |

British Museumby taljComment by digitalknight: blacker blacks would add contrast here and strengthen your image - seems like the left is lower than the right - might be an optical illusion |

British Museumby taljComment by KarenNfld: There is another photo of this museum in the challenge, you probably saw it. Sorry but I prefer their photo. They used B&W, I think that would improve this photo. Also this seems a bit soft or not quite in focus. |
