Great background, shadow and the light in the shadow is wonderful Sherryl. I dare to disagree with the comenters and their average of 7.22, regardless of if it was meant or not the vase and shells are not sharply in focus. The big point loser for me is that the image is cropped too tightly, a centemetre or so on the top and left would (imho) add to the image. I didnt vote on this but it would have been a 5 from me :(

Sherryl, you know its cruel showing me an image like this for critique! however, I like nothing better than being given a great shot to try to improve on.

When I first saw this shot I thought the main leaf should have more detail in it but am now thinking it would detract from the overall feel of the shot.

Keeping the square crop you chose I'd have liked to have seen the bottom left leaf curve comlete and maybe if there were enough leaves I think a 30% increase in the height of the image would have worked better?

Mind you, can you improve on a kodak POTD?

Definitely meets the challenge and exhibits proper bokeh. The subject matter leaves me wanting (not because it's a flower - I have nothing against flowers - it just lacks a "wow" factor for me). The image also comes across a little grainy and over sharpened (IMO). Good luck!
