this evokes a sappy fifties-ish kind of look, that actually makes me feel quite nostalgic. The emotion is good, though, like a good actor in a corny movie. There's a great pleasure in that.

I disagree about the light "blur" I see it more as lens flare and it feels like a natural part of the lighting to me.

Marvelous lighting, softness and tones. Superb composition. My only nit would be the light blur on mid right. There is not enough detail for it to really add to the image and you might think of burning it out. Otherwise this is dang nice!

Sandwiching the face between the curls and the blur draws me right to the subject in this image. It has a strong feeling of tenderness in the girl.
