wonderful. I love the stiffness of the girl's pose and smile even though she's running! It reminds me of print advertisements from the 50s and 60s, when everyone was so damn happy. The zigzag of the road serves to emphasize the superhuman energy of this girl. The viewer naturally assumes that she has navigated this entire zigzag with the same boundless energy.

Finally, you have one child with his hands outstretched as if to catch the wind and cause the entire assemblage to take to the air. And then you have the other child, who shares the disbelief and cynicism of the viewer.

Brilliant. Such emphasis on the butterfly while playing down the other elements (even the flower), which throws all the attention on your subject. The diagonal lines work great, as does the composition as a whole. Nicely done!

You captured a good bit of detail in the mottled patterns of the pear skins - this is the sort of thing that gets missed in color. Like how you arranged the pears.

The shape of pears lend themselves to photos and paintings. Nicely done.

I really like the compostion, the curves and tones. There is some dust, etc on the R that is distracting, and I'm not too sure aabout the shadowns, perhaps either more or less but they look a bit too cut off here.

Nie job, good subject for b&w.

Those are some pretty ugly pears. I guess black and white just can't do them justice, though I like the hint of reflection at the bottom of the composition.

i love these still life images - good placement of the pears and solid lighting. i see a little noise/ texture in the background that I am not sure if it is intended or not.

What a great macro of this butterfly - ths silky smooth background really amplifies the crispness of the details on the cute little guy!
