I am impressed by your idea and technique but the result for me is too messy still to put it in my top 3. I think I would have preferred a more unidirectional and steady tracing (if at all possible with your light source). I wonder how you got the girls to stand still so precisely while they were being traced by the light source. I like it how you used different colours for each of the girls and the blue for the object (I though she was doing her hair until I saw your title).

In my years with DPC I have learned to appreciate and like abstract photography. Taking the time to really seek out what the photographer sees in the image is part of the experience. The mystery here is intriguing; I think I see a tiger, lol. Thank you for participating, I am honored.

First, this is a lovely image. Tack sharp where it needs to be, with great contrast on color and surprisingly pleasant bokeh effect considering this was shot at F5.6.

Honestly, I really think what held this image back from a higher placement was the challenge it was entered in. Put this in a Free Study or an Animal / Wildlife based challenge and it would probably be on the front page. The Top 10 and beyond is pretty much all landscapes for the National Parks challenge. It was a challenge full of beautiful images with very strong competition.

Would I change anything on your image? Nope. I'm not seeing any flaws really. It's a keeper - just not the right challenge.

My apologies if this 'Critique' falls short of expectations. Hard to see anything obvious to point out from a technical standpoint.
