Elkby GallatinComment by Gallatin: This photo was an incredible experience, I was in a group of about 20 elk and they would let me rub their nose like you would rub a horse. I truly was up close and personal with this shot. I was in the Gardiner Montanta area. |

Elkby GallatinComment by Gracechild7: I know the challenge was to get up close and personal, but this photo is just not doing it for me. It had to have been shot from far away with a long lens, and it just doesn't say "macro" at all. |

Elkby GallatinComment by faidoi: Great composition. Profile of the deer makes it interesting. Love the furriness of the elk. I think more lighting on the elk itself would really make it pop out. The fur if you have the right light really makes it shine. The green in the background helps to make the subject come out of the picture. |
