I think it looks fine. I like the black and white. So we have seen your husband in two different types of hats now. And not smiling hehe.

This is a great father/son pic and will be something fun for you guys to look at later in life.

Definitely has a start of the day feel about it which is nicely accentuated by the soft tones and contrast of the conversion

I love the contrasting expressions on the faces of the two men in your life, your son has that eagerness in his eyes whilst your husband seems to be asking 'how did I get myself suckered into this'

Maybe not technically perfect but a lot more human and nicer than many photos that are

Besides being a really good B&W conversion, it's family and that makes it better yet. I'm tempted to take a day off and then it would be tooooo easy not to start. It's good though to make sure I shoot every day.

I think that the black and white really worked here. I know what you mean about the way some color shots just lack so much until they are converted to black and white. Your husband doesn't look so happy about being up early, either.
