Nice composition, but sorry I dont see what is abstracted here. Even the title focusses on the famous celtic stones, when in fact an abstract photograph must focus not on content, but on form.

Critique Club Review:

Color Saturation and Hue: Colors are realistic and accurate.

Brightness and Contrast: Both are done well, no detail is lost in the highlight areas.

Focus and depth of field: The focus is nice and sharp, but the depth of field looks a little shallow. The wing goes soft as it gets closer to the camera. Though this may also be motion blur. The background is nicely soft, so as to eliminate distraction.

Image meets the challenge well. I can't tell if the crop was intentional. Images like this one, often what you see is all the photographer could get. I too would like to have seen more of the bird. As it is, he could very well have been mounted on a stick outside of a moving vehicle.
