City Life during the holidays means LIGHTS!!by PixlmakerComment by Pixlmaker: Okay, from the comments I got it is very obvious the blue light knocked my points down a bit. That's okay--live and learn. I'm learning Photoshop, and I'm getting better at it every day. So, I'll know how to minimize the glare of the spotlights in the future (not that it helps for this entry). Thanks for the comments, and I'll post a shot of the Falls (with the blue lights shining on them) soon.

King of the Aquariumby PixlmakerComment by Pixlmaker: Thanks for the comments all--especially CalliopeKel (although my name is Don, not Brad :o)). This was indeed a more dimly-lit freshwater tank. Here is a shot of his saltwater tank (this guy owns 3 tanks), with the nightlights on. With the regular lights on, it is much brighter than the tank above, to keep the coral alive. Calliope--sounds like this is quite a hobby for you too! Here is the other tank:
Feel free to comment on that shot as well. I will post more aquarium pix very soon. Thanks! Message edited by author 2006-01-11 08:01:33. |

King of the Aquariumby PixlmakerComment by CalliopeKel: Marine tanks are usually better lit. The lights to keep a coral reef alive are like 3x stronger than freshwater aquariums so yes, better lighting would make for better fish piccys. Great pics Brad. |

King of the Aquariumby PixlmakerComment by CalliopeKel: Thats a Gold Serevrum. Nice fish.
I have a few tanks myself. Fish are really hard to get good pics of because of low light, glass, and movement. Check out my fish portraits here - Fish Pics |
