Grey Jungleby GIS_boyComment by GIS_boy: Ouch! Stupidly I went to the trouble of photographing the Story Bridge in Brisbane which is painted grey on an overcast day and THEN desated the photo! HUGE mistake in a challenge like this one...you live, you learn. :) |

S P I N A Lby GIS_boyComment by Melethia: An excellent sky you had for a day you didn't think was what you wanted. :-) You do have a bit of sharpening halo thing going on - there was a tip that Joe Dannels posted just a little while ago. For DPC purposes (or web display in general), don't sharpen the full sized image - resize to about twice your final desired size or a bit more (1400 pixels on the long side or so for here), use Photoshop's "sharpen" tool (just plain "Sharpen") one to three times, then resize for the websize you want. |

The Rhythm of the Ocean by GIS_boyComment by brumer0: I really like this photo. it truly brings me back to a time in my personal life, and for that it has special meaning. as a photo: i really like the fading line of poles and the waves. I really think the black and white do this photo justice too. congrats on not only a nice photo, but a nice pretty ribbon! |
