Hope...by AgaricusComment by SandyP: Oh I love Chesapeak Bay Retrievers. A good friend of ours up in the Rockies owns a dark reddish brown one, and that dog is one of my favorite animals in the WORLD! They are so smart -- and have SO MUCH personality!
I love the way you have captured that loyal, devoted "look" they are so good at :)

Hope...by AgaricusComment by macrothing: 5 - Bit too much empty space in my opinion. Works well as far as direction dog is looking, but the background elements compete for attention as well. LIke to have seen the other eye more, or less, as well. |

Hope...by AgaricusComment by Jutilda: AWW. What an expression. I like his sad eyes. Nice use of negative space. What if you cropped it so that we didn't see the bowls? I think that wouldn't hurt it and the leading line of the molding on the wall behind him would send the eye directly to his face. Wonderful focus. |
