The House Guestby DrKDBComment by Jaded_Housewife: Very interesting expression. Very hard to guage. looks a little mad, a little sad and a little smug. weird. great study in human emotions. |

I looked through your portfolio again. We like similiar shots- photos that resonate with emotion (at least that's what I get from them). I starting shooting in the mid-70's. You're way ahead of me. Thanks for your comments. |

Long Road Homeby DrKDBComment by DrKDB: Originally posted by pineapple: Cliche doesn't always have to have a stigma attached to it (just most of the time :). I think this is a nice subtle, well composed image. Looks good to me. The sunburst Epiphone comes over well with this tint. Nice work. |
High praise (I've seen your work) AND from someone who knows their guitars. There are more guitars living in our house than people- and we're not a small family. I really wish I could somehow capture how deep the connection is between player and instrument. We all play but somehow this one, the youngest can 'play' and you can feel it. I'm really going to work on this as a little project, I'd appreciate any suggestions you might have if you ever have time. Guitar and player. Thanks for taking time to comment. |

Michael 18by DrKDBComment by JunieMoon: Very good tonal quality and the detail of the skin on the neck is really fabulous. I don't care for the pose, though. NOt sure how to get the best of the subject on this one. I think for this subject, more relaxed would work. I am thinking the arms might be better not so stretched over the head. It looks uncomfortable. I see in his face a bit of a rebelious burning. That hard look could be used to your advantage. |

Michael 9-28by DrKDBComment by DrKDB: It's kind of strange, but the best shots of him are almost always the serious, melancholy ones. I appreciate your comments. |
