Industrial Revolutionby EricMGB1974Comment by wheeledd: I usually like industrial pictures. This one is nice but it doesn't quite make it. The wire across the middle is unfortunate--it splits the picture into two halves that don't come together for me. I like the top half. If you were to crop it (or zoom in) above the wire I think you would have a more powerful and dramatic image. |

Industrial Revolutionby EricMGB1974Comment by MacDonald: When I look at this photo I say to myself "what is that.. what is that little house doing up there? what did this used to be?" - when I ask questions like this after viewing a photo, that is a good sign, and what I like about this shot is it makes me think.. what might improve the overall composition is getting rid of the tree brances.. they take my focus away from the industrial quality of the shot. I realize that might have been impossible to do in a basic challenge |

Margaritavilleby EricMGB1974Comment by MayaM: Nice shot, contrast and exposure well done, but almost wish the whole shell was in focus, it is not like there is a distracting background where you would need a shallow dof. |

Margaritavilleby EricMGB1974Comment by Dr.Confuser: I absolutely love the DOF and the detail you have preserved here. Possibly the strongest entry in the challenge in terms of meeting the challenge. Subtle colors strengthen the image. Great job. Among my top picks. |
