Sharpening around tree branches is tricky ... it is very easy to over-sharpen small details like tree branches. Notice the white halos around the branches? You have two choices: 1) turn down the sharpening, or 2) undo the sharpening in the areas that become overly sharp (by using the history brush, or by putting the sharpened image into a layer and then masking out the sharpening).

Beauty in the rough surf. The processing is wonderful. Look at the churning water and the converging crash at the left. Big waves are not just for oceans any more. I used to live near Lake Superior and the waves were incredible there as well. Thanks for the lovely photo.
