Gerard, what a wonderful subject you chose. I love the juxaposition of old and new. You composed this image well to have the new frame the old.
The lighting is good here, so apparantly you chose the right time of day too, and the reflections work very well, on the new bridge, and the shadows in the water.
Your exposure is right on target. Details are visible, and there are no burned out areas or too dark.
Everything seems very well balanced, and symetric.
That old stone bridge looks very interesting and I bet it has lots of character too. One nitpicky thing is that the old bridge is cut off the top a bit way over in the left hand side. Tilting the camera ever so slightly may have corrected that, but it's no big thing.
This is a fine image with no digital noise, good focus, exposure, composition.
