Hmmm - the event of a solar eclipse is spectacular. Perhaps this photo is not. The title is asking me to remember a solar eclipse and the eerie darkness but the image does not portray it for me. Without the title this is just a glowing eyeball. I can assume it was difficult to take, but level of difficulty still doesn't translate into gorgeous, or even informative, photo.

Very frosty indeed! I love the wind-blown snow on the leftmost branch. Looks like you could have a little sharper detail (snow crystals) but it's not far off the mark. The background has a bluish cast, which actually works ok to portray the cold, not sure about the haziness, thinking that it might be nice to have reduced that a little with a UV filter. JMO of course. :) Overall, a splendid image. Well done!

I think a lot of people canned this one, including me. Mainly because I have no idea what it is ... lol. Hpwever, I think what hurt the score most was that it's out of focus.

I gave this a 9. The only thing that bothered me is the way the lights lined up. I looks like they're leaning back a bit. You can try adobe ps cs2 , go to filter--> distort --> lens correction and play with this photo a bit, and see what new results you get !
